SOUTH AFRICA ENDEAVORS TO CAPTIVATE MORE INDIAN TOURISTS TO ITS LAND

Observing the escalating figures of Indian visitors to South Africa, the country plans to promote and spotlight itself more aggressively across India with an endeavour to catch a bigger portion of Indian tourists. The rising graph of the impending of Indian tourists can be witnessed by the noteworthy increase in the figures i.e. from 71,587 in 2010 to 1,06,774 in 2012. Expressing his views on this, Evelyn stated, “The growth has been strong and steady over the years and this fiscal year ending March 31 we are expecting around 1,33,000 Indian tourists. In the last three years, India has become a core market for us.”

Further adding to it, she articulated that apart from training tour and travel operators on spotlighting South Africa as an exciting destination to Indians, the prime focus will also be on outdoor and audio-visual promotions as well. She specified, “Around 500 billboards that depict the popular holiday spots and cultures will be put up across 21 cities in India. While cricketer Jonty Rhodes, our brand Ambassador will continue to lure the cricket crazy Indians through TV advertisements.”
