ZEN Petroleum appoints new Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager

Paul joins ZEN Petroleum from British High Commission where he was at the Political and Communications Section and was part of several high profile engagements with government and other agencies.

As the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager, Paul will be in charge of developing and managing strategic relationships with the media, regulatory bodies and government and delivering a corporate communications strategy to develop the organizations image, brand and relationships, ensuring a clear identity, brand loyalty and understanding amongst the various stakeholder groups and wider audiences of ZEN Petroleum.

Paul is a journalist and a communications specialist, and has worked with both local and international organizations like Radio Universe, Exp Ghana and RGU Radio in the UK, where he was covering current affairs and news, and also was the lead reporter for RGU Radio during the London 2012 Olympics.

He was the Representative for Chartered Institute of Public Relations-UK in Scotland and also a graduate of the University of Ghana and the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen Business School.

Chairman of ZEN Petroleum, Dominique Konate expressed his delight to have Paul Twum-Barimah managing the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Department.

Being a wholly owned Ghanaian Oil Marketing Company, ZEN is always on the lookout for young talented Ghanaians and West Africans to ensure that the downstream petroleum sector in Ghana does not go the same way as other sectors, majority owned and controlled by multi-nationals, he added.

In its four years of existence, ZEN now has offices in Ghana, Mali, Burkina Fasso and Liberia, and is now the largest hydrocarbon services provider to the mines in Ghana.
