Indian agro-processor eyes Rwandan market

Arjun Beeswax lndustries, an India-based agro-processing firm, will soon set up shop in Rwanda, Arjun Bheda, the managing partner, said in a statement.

Bheda said the firm was attracted to Rawanda by the country’s conducive investment climate and the vast opportunities it presents. He added that his confidence in the country was greatly boosted when he met Emmanuel Hategeka , the Ministry of Trade and lndustry permanent secretary, and Ernest Rwamucyo, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India, at the Rwanda Booth during the recent Vibrant Gujarat 2015 Conference in Gandhinagar, India.

Bheda noted that the ISO 9001: 2008 certified company would trade under the Arjun Beeswax Industries Rwanda Limited brand once they set up shop in Kigali.

According to Clarence Fernandes, the Rwanda Development Board India representative, the company is one of the manufacturers, exporters and suppliers of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial waxes.

Fernandes pitched to Bheda about Rwanda’s attractive business environment and the immense opportunities in the country during the recently-concluded business conference in the Asian country.
