A newspaper committed to educating people about real estate, rent and land acquisition has been launched in Accra.
The bi-weekly newspaper called Realty Advertising Newspaper will chronicle Ghana's luxurious and affordable estates, introduce key personalities in the industry, feature businesses and property developers across the country. Speaking at the launch, Managing editor of Realty Advertising Newspaper, Audrey Agyiri said the 40 page newspaper will be the mouthpiece of the real estate industry in the country. According to her, “the newspaper comes at a time when Ghana is repositioning itself at the premium end of global real estate market to make housing in the country affordable to people”.
Audrey Agyiri noted that some of the highlights in the maiden edition include tales of a tenant ten mistakes to avoid when building in Ghana, duties and responsibilities of architects, property care, and government’s view on affordable homes. “Realty Advertising Newspaper will be your compass to get you what you are looking for in real estate” she added.
On his part, Chief Executive Officer of Micgabs Publishing House, Shalom Owusu-Sekyere said their decision to publish a real estate newspaper is borne out of the growing interest for luxury and affordable properties in the country.
He indicated that housing is a basic need in every society and thus improved housing markets will benefit investors in the real estate business. “Realty newspaper will be an effective platform for advertisers to reach their target audiences” he added. Mr. Owusu- Sekyere said the newspaper to be sold at GHC5.00 will be available at selected shops and newsstands across the country.
