Morocco will host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) tournament from January 17 to February 8, the organisers announced on Saturday.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) said the original dates had been extended by one day so that the semi-finals could be held on separate days. Traditionally, the semi-finals of the biennial African football showpiece have been played on the same day.
Group A will be based in Marrakech, Group B in Agadir, Group C in Rabat and Group D in Tangier.
Central city Marrakech hosts the January 17 opening match and Moroccan capital Rabat the February 8 final.
In another change from recent tournaments, only one Group A game will be played on the opening day with the other being held a day later.
The draws for the preliminary and group phases of the qualifying competition are scheduled for Sunday at CAF headquarters in Cairo.
