Vodafone Ghana unveils mobile ‘HealthLine App’

Telecom operator, Vodafone Ghana has announced the launch of 'HealthLine App', a free software application that provides realtime health information through smartphones and tablets.

The interactive app, which has been developed for all mobile networks, is available on Android and provides tips and facts on health conditions including HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Retinal Migraines and Acne, among others.

Additionally, the App will keep users up-to-date on Vodafone Ghana's award-winning television programme 'HealthLine' including, viewing times, profiles of the doctors and access to videos.

Commenting on the initiative as part of its leadership in health and corporate responsibility programmes in the country, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Uche Ofodile, said: “Developing an application to compliment the Healthline Television show, as well as Healthline 255 call line will change the way doctors and patients approach healthcare meaning no matter who you are, expert medical advice is never out of reach.”

She added “We are really committed to improve Ghanaians health and knowledge about health through impactful initiatives, and we are confident that the App will enhance health delivery in Ghana.”
The App has a simple design with easy scrolling for efficient browsing and is available on Google play store and itunes App store for free.
