Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi says his outfit is on course regarding preparations for the Brazil 2014 World Cup. His declaration allays fears of many who have tagged the Black Stars preparations for the Brazil 2014 World Cup as wishy-washy. The GFA boss revealed that preparations were far advanced and that Ghanaians should remain hopeful in the team for an impressive performance at this year's Mundial.
'We are on course as far as the World Cup is concerned. We have lined up a series of international friendlies intended to sharpen the edges in the team ahead of the competition,' said the FA boss at the GFA Secretariat.
He added, 'We will be playing the Dutch national soccer side on May 31 and later play a team or two on June 1 in the United States of America. Our technical team are also in the UK to put their house in order before the World Cup.'
Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah is expected to name his 30-man provisional squad in mid-May and later prune it down to 23, who will represent the nation in South America. Ghana is pitted against soccer big boys Portugal, Germany and USA in Group G of the World Cup.
