Cote D’Ivoire takes FIFA fans by surprise

FIFA World Cup is on the way to make you leave everything and hold your breath for that one final goal your favourite team might be scoring during the event. But recently, West African country, Cote D’Ivoire has got everyone by surprise with its new ranking at 21 globally according to world soccer body. Cote D’Ivoire topped up two places in the latest FIFIA rankings with 620 points while Nigeria moved to 45th position from 47th of the previous month’s positioning.

While in African Football, Cape Verde cemented itself at 5th position, Ghana at 4th, Algeria at 3rd and Egypt at 2nd. The Elephants of Ivory Coast still maintains their number one position in African football.
Not to mention, Europe inhabits the top three places on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking after Portugal mounted third place behind leaders Spain and Germany.

The top three teams are followed by four South American sides with Colombia at 4th, Uruguay at 5th. Also, Argentina got down three places occupying sixth position whereas World Cup host country, Brazil moved up three places sharing the place with Argentina.

Presently, according to the recent ranking list of African football, the top ten countries are Ivory Coast, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, Nigeria, Tunisia, Cameroon, Guinea, and Mali.
